Former Pop Idol winner, Will Young, revealed on his Twitter that he was the victim of homophobia over the weekend.

On Saturday, the day of London Pride, the singer tweeted his outrage after being asked to stop hugging his boyfriend at a hotel spa, because it was offending other guests.

He said:

Would you believe on the day of Gay Pride I have been the victim of homophobia. I am SO mad. #pride2014

I shower love on the ignorant, hope for the bigots and light into the dark crevices if their unfortunate minds

Young did not reveal the name of the hotel where the incident took place.
