GCN is teaming up with the effervescent Mark T Cox to give two lucky readers the chance to attend a very special, one-night-only, Pride cabaret show.  After almost ten years of tearing up London’s queer entertainment scene, Cox is coming home with style to perform in the decadent Dublin venue, The Sugar Club.

The international cabaret star will be adding to the array of Pride events that will be taking place all across the country throughout summer. Adorned with his signature bow tie, the piano toy boy promises an evening jam-packed with “camp pop songs, naughty stories, lols and divilment.”

Tickets grant access to Mark’s camp cabaret show and a serenade of pop piano performances. Additionally, there will be an all-night dance fest at The Sugar Club with a glamourous line-up of queer Irish DJs including Kate Brennan Harding, Sweet Philly and Sean Brooder.

The performer began his career in the entertainment scene at just 17 years old. After landing in Dublin he started a residency in The George alongside drag legend Veda Lady. The two went on to create ‘Slap & Tickle’, a camp cabaret double act that toured Ireland and eventually headlined Dublin Pride.

The dazzling Mark T Cox has gone from strength to strength since moving to London in 2016. He has collaborated with some of the cities elites, including Jonny Woo and David Hoyle, plus regular shows with Irish performance artist Xnthony, RuPual’s Drag Race UK star Vinegar Strokes, and dozens of other weird and wonderful creatures from the queer entertainment scene.

Independently, Mark produces, hosts and performs in countless shows across London in venues such as The Glory, Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, Dalston Superstore, The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, plus a weekly residency at West End cabaret bar The CellarDoor.

Following the implementations of lockdown across the globe, Mark’s creative pursuits turned digital. He produces and co-hosts two independent podcasts, Second Hand Stories and Two Gays and a Teapot plus a weekly online cabaret show LIVE in the Bedroom.

To be in with a chance to see Mark T Cox’s Friday Night Pride live in The Sugar Club, just answer this question:

Which iconic music video starring Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and P!nk takes place at a cabaret?

Entries will close on June 21, with winners being announced June 22.
