WinK (Women in Kerry) are holding their first private party this weekend

WinK (Women in Kerry) is hosting their first private party this Saturday March 4 to celebrate International Women’s Day.

WinK is a group for lesbian, bisexual, trans and gender queer women and their LGBT friends which aims to create a space for women in Kerry to meet and socialise.

Founded in May 2015 following the Marriage Equality Referendum, the women’s group will be celebrating both its twentieth ‘Meetup’ and International Women’s Day this Saturday.

The WinK Meetup page explains: “It is about building LGBT community in Kerry and having a lot of fun in the process.”

To date, they have have had a host of different activities for its members.

“So far we have had movie nights and theatre nights, dinner meet ups and walks.”

Event Details

The women’s group’s first party, in celebration of International Women’s Day, will take place in Courtney’s Bar, Killarney.

The image for the event indicates that it is a “Women Only” event and that it will be a DJ set from “9pm ’til late.”

Admission to the event costs €10 and with nearly half of WinK’s members attending the event, it looks set to be a fantastic night.

For more details about the event, join WinK on their Meetup page here, or call 0876212542.
