The Le Galaxie Halloween Late Night Party is fast approaching, so we caught up with bass and synth man Dave McGloughlin to find out how he feels about Halloween

Le Galaxie are performing at The Olympia this bank holiday Sunday 30 October 2016, so we caught up with bass and synth man Dave McGloughlin to ask some scare-tastic questions.

1. What’s your favourite Halloween movie?

John Carpenter’s The Fog. It was the first “proper” horror film I saw as a kid and it left a huge effect on me.

2. What’s your favourite Halloween song?

Rockwell – Somebody’s Watching Me. It’s creepy, It has the prerequisite amount of funky horror synth riffs, AND it has Michael Jackson secretly singing the chorus in breach of his recording contract at the time.

3. What’s your favourite Halloween treat?

Full Sized Snickers, stolen from the baskets of kids who come to my door.

4. Funniest Halloween costume you’ve every seen?

Funny, like dad joke funny – I’m told I won the costume competition at a local Halloween bash as a kid when my parents put a sheet over my head, and a sign around my neck reading “The Party Spirit”. Hey, it was the 80s, we couldn’t afford humour.

6. What’s been your favourite Halloween ever?

7. If Le Galaxie had to dress up for Halloween with a joint costume, what would it be?

We actually did this. We put on baby blue shirts, red-beanie hats and bloodied up our faces. We were The Afterlife Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

8. Apart from your gig in the Olympia on Sunday, what are you most looking forward to this weekend?

Hitting the town afterwards. It’s been a hectic month for Le Galaxie, we’ve travelled all over for some live shows, brushed up some new tunes, new and old, for the Olympia show and we’re getting really close to finishing our new album to be released early next year. Sunday night will be the culmination of a busy month. Can’t wait!

9. If you could be any Horror movie character, who would you be?

Mick Taylor from Wolf Creek. He seems to really enjoy his chosen life.
