The Macklemore and co. super wedding that took place at the Grammy’s last night is dominating gay media this morning, but was the rest of the awards show any use?

In short, yes it was, and well worth staying up until the wee hours of the morning on a school night. Here are some of the highlights.

1. Super couple Beyoncé and Jay Z opened the show with a PDA to end all PDAs! They performed a very hands on version of Drunk In Love (from Beyoncé’s self titled album) for the first time in front of a live audience.

2. Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder delivered an epic disco mash-up, all the while Pharrell was dressed as a hipster Canadian mountie. Daft Punk dominated the awards last night, nabbing 5 in total. This is a must watch, especially on a dreary Monday morning.

3. Taylor Swift thought she won the Grammy for Album of the Year, but she didn’t. In Fairness, you handled it well, T-Swizzle.

She also performed a pretty lovely version of ‘All Too Well’.

4. The two surviving Beatles, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney took to the stage together for a special once off performance.

5. Jay Z was a cool Dad.
