Acclaimed US Songstress Bette Midler has announced that she will perform in the UK for the first time in 35 years.

Midler, the Academy award nominated and Grammy winning singer/actress/comedienne/author, has announced that she will play five shows across the UK in July 2015 in support of her new album It’s The Girls! which is out today (November 17).

The tour will kick off at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on July 9, before moving on to Manchester on July 11, and Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on July 13. She will then play the First Direct Arena in Leeds on July 15, before concluding the tour by headlining London’s O2 Arena on July 18.

Here’s hoping she announces a Dublin date!

This comes off last week’s news that she is hopeful that Disney will produce a sequel to the cult favourite, Hocus Pocus.

The Beaches actress revealed her new single, a cover of The Exciters’ 1960s song Tell Him, which is the first release from her new album. Listen below.
