The Outing, the world’s only queer matchmaking and arts festival, is set to return for its Valentine’s Weekend 2025 edition. Hosted by the charismatic Queen of Matchmaking Eddie McGuiness alongside ringmaster of love Paul Ryder and the electrifying Victoria Secret, the event will provide a diverse programme featuring games, live music, comedy, céilí bands, drag extravaganzas, workshops and much more.

Running from February 14 to 16, the escapade will take place at The Inn at Dromoland, within the picturesque grounds of the Dromoland Castle Estate. Known for its luxurious accommodation and beautiful, wooded countryside setting, the surroundings offer a truly immersive experience of County Clare. Guests will enjoy exceptional dining, cosy rooms, and access to a range of facilities throughout the weekend.

While this LGBTQ+ event will feature all the expected elements of a great festival, The Outing stands out for its unique activities in an attempt to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. In addition to traditional games such as the egg-and-spoon race (in heels), rounders or tug of war, participants are welcome to join speed and blind dating events, giving people seeking romantic relationships or friendships an opportunity to find the personal connection they are looking for.

Another unique activity is the Virgin Pool Party, which offers attendees a chance to relax and have fun with inflatables, unicorns, and water sports.

The programme also includes an impressive array of talent from artists such as performer, broadcaster and host Paul Ryder, Dublin-based singer and songwriter Shosby, and Irish Rock Angel DYLATRIX, among many others.

Eddie McGuinness, Festival Director and Founder, said: “The Outing Festival is more than an event; it’s a movement. It’s about love, creativity, and community coming together in one of the most beautiful settings in Ireland. Whether you’re looking for love, friendship, or simply a weekend of incredible entertainment, there’s something for everyone.”

Tickets for The Outing Festival’s 2025 Valentine’s Weekend are now available on the official website, where you can choose between a range of packages. Space is limited, so make sure to book early to secure your spot at this unmissable event!

The Outing Festival started out in 2012 as an addition to the popular and long-running Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival, which has been around for more than 170 years. Over the years, The Outing has evolved by teaming up with the St. Patrick’s Parade to showcase the LGBTQ+ creative community, and by being part of other Pride festivals around Ireland. In 2020, it became a not-for-profit organisation with a board full of queer alternative artists, professionals and volunteers.
