Kruger, whose birth name was Marcel Bonn, passed away at the age of 44. The news was announced on Saturday, March 1, via the TimTales website, where a heartfelt statement paid tribute to his life and career.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share the news of the passing of our beloved Marcel, the man you all knew and loved as Tim Kruger,” the statement began.
The message, written by his longtime partner and co-founder of TimTales, Grobes Geraet, continued: “To the public, he was the ultimate ginger pornstar; to me, he was a sweet, caring partner of over 20 years. He was also my best friend. He touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, Kruger entered the adult film industry in 2006 and quickly made a name for himself. His striking appearance, confident on-screen presence, and dedication to his craft earned him a devoted following. In 2009, alongside Geraet, he co-founded TimTales, which would go on to become one of the most popular gay porn platforms.
Beyond his performances, Kruger was deeply involved in the production side of adult entertainment. He worked as a director and producer, helping to shape the content and brand identity of TimTales. His contributions extended beyond his own platform, as he also collaborated with various major adult studios throughout his career.
Kruger was known not only for his success in the industry but also for his warm and engaging personality. Fans and colleagues alike have expressed their sadness at his passing, remembering him as a charismatic and kind-hearted individual who brought passion to everything he did.
At this time, no cause of death has been shared, but Geraet stated: “Tim’s death was a tragic, yet simple accident at home. There were no drugs involved, nor was there any indication of foul play or suicide.”
