With the start of summer, queer artists have released an array of new music, including albums, EPs, and singles. Here are some queer songs you could add to your playlist. 

SexyTadhg – ‘My Parade’

SexyTadhg recently released their new single, ‘My Parade‘, ahead of their new EP. The song combines the soulful tunes of jazz pop to create a passionate track with lyrics calling for societal change. It channels the revolutionary and celebratory spirit of Pride. 

DELISHUS MR – ‘Three May Keep A Secret’

‘Three May Keep A Secret’ is the newest single released by DELISHUS MR. The song combines EDM music to celebrate queerness.

Andromeda Ⅰ – ‘KILL THE ROCK N’ ROLL BABY’

Check out the single ‘KILL THE ROCK N’ ROLL BABY’ by Andromeda Ⅰ, which adds a synth pop taste to rock music.

Mz Red Dear – Woman Within

Mz Red Dear released her new single, ‘Woman Within’, touching on coming out later in life. Mz Red Dear’s soft voice sings with gentle keys and piano in the background. 

PHOENO – ‘Safety’

This electronic pop single by PHOENO turns its synth and guitar beat into a lesson of accepting that sometimes bonds don’t last.

Miss Mary Jane – ‘Fisherman’s Blues’

‘Fisherman’s Blues’ is the newest single from Miss Mary Jane. It combines folk music in a piece dedicated to the band Water Boys. Miss Mary Jane will be releasing her new EP, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, on September 15. 

Emmett – ‘Pharaoh’

‘Pharaoh’ is the new single by Emmett. It’s an electric pop beat that can liven up your summer playlist. 

Daniel Cohen – ‘Hands Up Everybody!’ 

Galway singer, Daniel Cohen, released his newest single ‘Hands Up Everbody!’ featuring Young Colley. ‘Hands Up Everybody!’ is an upbeat queer song perfect for a sunny summer’s day.

Jack Madden – ‘PLASTIC’ 

‘PLASTIC’ is the newest single by Jack Madden. The song combines synthwave music with pop to create a beat you can dance to. 

M(h)aol – Something Soft

M(h)aol has released their newest album, Something Soft. The four-person band combines alternative and indie music to create an invigorating feminist record. 

theXcollective – ‘Solace in My Head’

‘Solace in My Head’ is theXcollective’s newest release. This queer song features Shanny, NIYL, and Mutant Vinyl. It describes the turmoil of trying to leave an unhealthy relationship with a pop tune and jazz undertones.

George Houston – TODC

TODC is George Houston’s newest album. Houston’s deep voice mixes with country and rock music while intertwining feelings of nostalgia. 

Dose – ‘After This’

Dose released their newest single,’ After This’, just in time for summer. The song explores sexual abuse, the resulting trauma and how society treats sexual abuse survivors. Dose creates an eerie tone with echoing background vocals and a busy guitar part that mimics the bustle within someone’s mind. 

Emily Panter – Remember They Love You

The newest EP by Emily Panter, Remember They Love You, offers a solemn exploration of the development of a starry-eyed child as they mature. The grunge guitar adds to the depth of Panter’s songwriting, giving the music an extra layer. 

Larissa Tormey – ‘Coming Back to Life’

Larissa Tormey has released her new single ‘Coming Back to Life’, which is a joyful demonstration of her journey as an artist.

Romeo Keane – ‘Friend…’

Romeo Keane is a singer whose musical style matches that of Charli xcx, The Weeknd, and Troye Sivan. His newest song ‘Friend…’ featuring F!onn, combines dance pop with a story about the struggles of friendship.

Pastiche – ‘Calories’

‘Calories’ is the newest single from Pastiche. The song blends pop with a tint of darkness and catchy lyrics, as is Pastiche’s style. 

I Dreamed I Dream – Boyopoisoning

I Dreamed I Dream uses synth to create an almost folk song in their newest single ‘Fags’, which is part of thier EP, Boyopoisoning

Tall Houses – ‘The Face’

Tall Houses released the single, ‘The Face’, just in time for Pride month. The song highlights the adversity queer people face and acknowledges the community’s strength. 

Amiss Tori – ‘We Have the Power’

‘We Have The Power’ is the newest single from Amiss Tori. The song describes a revolt against the current state of affairs within the United States through folk music. 

Ocean Tisdall – ‘Sugar In His Tea’

Ocean Tisdall’s newest song, ‘Sugar In His Tea’, follows the singer’s thoughts as he deals with the sadness and emptiness of a break-up. 

PureGrand – ‘Seven Up’

PureGrand’s newest single ‘Seven Up’ is a synthpop queer song with a visually gripping music video inspired by The Boilerhouse.

Sonic Panda – ‘Stonewall 1969’

‘Stonewall 1969’ is the newest single by Sonic Panda. This song talks about the revolution of the Stonewall uprising in 1969 through a synthpop beat.
