In yet another rehashing, Netflix is to revive 2001 comedy film Wet Hot American Summer in an eight-part series.
The original film, set in 1981, portrayed the last day of an American summer camp and the camp councillors who hoped to conclude their unfinished business.
The original cast had some soon-to-be stars, including Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Meloni, Janeane Garofalo and David Hyde Pierce.
The series has already started filming, according to Deadline, however the release date has yet to be confirmed.
But what people seem to be most excited about is Bradley Cooper‘s return to his role of Ben, a gay camp councillor who has it off with Michael Ian Black in a tool-shed in a pretty memorable sex scene.
Cooper said of the scene, in an interview with Perez Hilton:
“I remember saying, ‘What if we wear tube socks, and I’ll go up on the wall, and you’ll come from behind me.'” And I said in the scene, ‘Say my name,’ and Michael says, ‘Ben!’ And I say, ‘No! Say my Christian name,’ and he whispers, ‘Benjamin,’ and that’s when I came.”
