The new season of RTÉ Two’s comedy No Worries If Not! aired its first episode on Thursday, October 8. Queer comedian Michael Fry was reunited with his fellow cast regulars, a group of immensely talented Irish comics including Emma Doran, Seán Burke, Justine Stafford and Killian Sundermann. The latest season also promises some exciting guest stars.

The sketch comedy series began in 2022, bringing together Irish comedians who play a variety of different characters and roles. Many of the cast, including Fry, come from an online background, finding widespread success and recognition through TikTok videos and internet sketches during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.

The latest season will see newer Irish comedic talent making an appearance. Speaking to Ireland AM, Fry explained that No Worries If Not! invites comedians to write their own sketches, comparing the show to the previous RTÉ sketch show The Republic of Telly in its ability to give new talent a platform to showcase their skills.

Renowned comedian Pat Shortt and The Traitors host, and Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney will guest star in the latest season. This is not the first time McSweeney and Fry have acted in the same project, with Fry making a guest appearance in the final season of Derry Girls as the controlling trolley attendant.

Series creator James Cotter, known for his work on the former musical comedy duo The Rubberbandits’ TV show The Rubberbandits Guide to Everything, will reunite with Fry and fellow cast members Seán Burke and Emma Doran, having previously worked with them on the historical sketch comedy show Callan Kicks the Year.

Michael Fry has spoken openly about being bisexual. Most recently, he co-hosted the annual GALAS awards ceremony alongside broadcaster and podcaster Louise McSharry, celebrating Ireland’s LGBTQ+ community. Fry has also appeared at another GCN event, winning Mx GCN 2026 at the So You Think You Can Drag fundraiser for his drag persona Buncrana del Rey, “Lana Del Rey, but from Donegal”.

No Worries If Not! will continue to air on Thursday evenings on RTÉ Two and the RTÉ Player as part of its six-episode run.
