The first images of Andreja Pejic for Make Up For Ever have been released and they are flawless.
Andreja Pejic – a trans model – has become the new face of makeup brand Make Up For Ever. Pejic is the first ever trans model to become the face of a major makeup brand and we can see why she has been picked.
Last April, Make Up For Ever announced that Andreja Pejic would be the new face of their brand.
“Being bold is about freedom. It’s hard for anyone to grow up and not be afraid of what others think. Makeup helps me express myself, and I’ve used it in varying ways throughout my life. I have strived to live life on my own terms, to never have to hide and to never have to feel shame about who I am. I can be proud of that and I’m equally proud to share that message through this Make Up For Ever campaign,” she said.
The Serbian-born Australian model was profiled by Vogue magazine – the first trans model to do so – and has walked for major fashion brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs.
Andreja Pejic made her name as a high-fashion model, walking for both male and female collections. It was just this past year when she revealed in an interview that she had undergone gender reassignment surgery and identified as female.
“I hope that by being open about this, it becomes less of an issue”, the 22 year-old told People magazine at the time.
