After two years of dating, Ruby Rose has split from her fourth fiancee

The Australian actress has called off her engagement to fashion designer and Roald Dahl’s granddaughter, Phoebe Dahl.

The famous couple has not given a reason for their amicable break-up.

Talking to US weekly on Monday, Dahl said:

“After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways. While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part ways. Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time”.

Ruby Rose and Phoebe Dahl met at a barbecue in January 2013 and were instantly enamoured with each other.

“Do I believe in love at first sight? I didn’t before Ruby, but now I do,” Dahl said at the time.

The feeling was mutual for Rose, who said: “I thought, ‘Oh my God, I need to marry her. Who is she?'”.

Dahl was already in a relationship but called it off and the pair became the most famous lesbian couple in the world. 

They announced their engagement in March 2014 with Rose admitting at the time that Dahl had turned her down three times before changing her mind and asking her.

However, after Ruby landed her role in ‘Orange Is The New Black, the couple put their wedding plans on hold.

Now, after two years of dating, the couple has decided to cancel their wedding and separate from each other.
