Season one of The Handmaid’s Tale, based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, became touchstone television in 2017, that rare moment on screen that seems to absolutely reflect the times we live in.

If one shot from the trailer for the forthcoming Season Two (on Hulu in April) says anything about how this landmark show will go on representing, it’s a hand brandishing a placard saying, ‘Resist’.

And from the rest of the trailer it seems that while more horror is in store for handmaids Offred and Janine, and ‘gender traitor’, Moira, a revolution is on the rise.
