Shailene Woodley, star of upcoming film ‘Divergent’, has said that she is open to dating women.

The 22 year-old up-and-comer told the Hollywood Reporter, “I fall in love with human beings based on who they are, not based on what they do or what sex they are.”

Woodley made the comment while talking about her upcoming film, Divergent, which takes place in a universe where everyone must fit into a box in order to be accepted by society.

In the film, teenagers take a personality test which sorts them into one of five categories — Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, or Erudite. If you do not fit into a category, also called being “divergent,” you are sentenced to death.

In the past, Woodley has been romantically linked to her Spectacular Now co-star, Miles Teller. She first rose to international fame in 2011 when she starred alongside George Clooney in Oscar nominated film The Descendants.
