Anti-Trans Groups 'Tests' Bathroom Bill With Cis Men

Anti-trans crusaders are reportedly “testing” the LGBT-friendly bathroom policy at a popular US department store by sending cisgender men into the ladies’ toilets.

The notorious American Family Association, a fundamentalist Christian group known for its hostility to LGBTs, claims that department store Target’s bathroom policy – which allows customers to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity – opens the door for “sexual predators”.

The group has attempted to boycott Target since the company announced its trans-friendly bathroom policy – a direct response to North Carolina’s transphobic bathroom bill – last month.

“We believe that everyone — every team member, every guest, and every community — deserves to be protected from discrimination, and treated equally,” the company said in its statement.

“Consistent with this belief, Target supports the federal Equality Act, which provides protections to LGBT individuals, and opposes action that enables discrimination.”

“We’ve already had people testing this, going into Targets and men trying to go into bathrooms,” Sandy Rios told Breibart

The AFA revealed their strategy in a radio interview this week, reports The Advocate. “We’ve already had people testing this, going into Targets and men trying to go into bathrooms. There is absolutely no barrier,” Sandy Rios, AFA’s director of governmental affairs told Briebart News. “Decent, hard-working people who don’t want their 4-year-old daughter to have to go into a bathroom with a guy with a beard in a dress.”

“The chief concern, even more than just, I think, trauma, certainly for little girls of having men dressed like women coming in their bathrooms, the chief concern of the American Family Association is the predators who will take advantage,” added Rios.

However, the group have since issued a statement denying Rios’ claims, calling them “completely false”.
