Pop icon, Boy George said that nothing has changed since the 80s, and that the Brit Awards ad breaks are still called ‘the coke run’.

The singer tweeted following last week’s awards ceremony:

Whether there is truth in Boy George’s tweet is up for debate, but we all know The Brit Awards are definitely known for being messier than it’s US counterparts. One Direction were caught inebriated in interviews with the media following the show, while many speculated that Artic Monkeys front man, Alex Turner had a few too many when he gave his rambling acceptance speech. Can we blame them though? Just look at the amount of alcohol that is allotted to each table!

The former Culture Club singer also took a dig at the amount of people who were not British attending the British music awards.

He tweeted:
