Cheryl and Kelly Rowland gave fans in Manchester’s Gay Village a night to remember after making a surprise appearance at Via on Canal Street. The singers are currently in the city filming the next series of The Voice UK, but swapped the famous red chairs for the dancefloor when they headed to the popular LGBTQ+ venue.
Footage shared on social media shows the pair surrounded by fans as some of their biggest hits played through the bar. Cheryl could be seen singing along to her 2009 number-one song ‘Fight For This Love’. Rowland took her turn to sing her tracks ‘When Love Takes Over’ and ‘Commander’.

Their night out comes just days after ITV confirmed a major change to The Voice UK panel. Cheryl and Manchester rapper Aitch, 26, will make their debuts as coaches for Series 15, joining returning stars Kelly Rowland and will.i.am.
The new line-up will replace Sir Tom Jones, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, while Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon are taking over presenting duties from Emma Willis.
Sir Tom has since made it clear that leaving the coaching panel was not his decision. In a statement shared online, the 86-year-old said ITV had offered him a significantly reduced role on the upcoming series rather than his usual position as a coach, adding that he was “not thrilled” with the proposal.
ITV later thanked the singer for his years on the programme, describing him as “irreplaceable”, while confirming its revamped line-up for 2027.
Although Cheryl and Rowland previously appeared on The X Factor during different eras of the show, the pair never sat on its judging panel together. Judging by their Canal Street night out, though, the two already appear to be getting on very well.
