Following the release of her critically acclaimed third studio album, Charm, American singer-songwriter Clairo brought her European tour to Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre for two sold-out nights on March 3 and 4. The performances were a masterclass in warmth and elegance, blending old favourites with new material in a setting that felt both intimate and effortlessly stylish.
The stage, inspired by the cosy aesthetic of a 1970s conversation pit, was bathed in low, golden lighting, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Clairo and her band sipped from their wine glasses between songs, reinforcing the show’s unhurried fuzzy feeling, somewhere between a Parisian jazz club and a fireplace-lit living room.

Opening with ‘Nomad’, the lyrics “I’d rather be alone than a stranger” were sung as the stage lit up from its round top light for the first time, sending shivers through the crowd. Clairo’s stage presence was as nuanced as her music, shy yet self-assured, reserved yet flirtatious.
Long-time fans were treated to a nostalgic journey with classics from her 2019 Dublin set in The Academy, including ‘4EVER’ and ‘Flaming Hot Cheetos’, which were met with continuous applause and singing throughout the crowd. The night reached its peak with a stunning three-song finale, beginning with ‘Sexy to Someone’, flowing into the fan-favourite ‘Juna’, and closing with a sing-along of ‘Sofia’.
She ended out her time on the Dublin stage by clanging wine glasses with each member of her band. There is an undeniable warmth to Clairo’s presence, a certain elegance – charm, even – that makes her live shows feel like a rare and special experience. In a world of overproduced spectacles, her quiet confidence stands out. Dublin will surely be waiting eagerly for her next return.
Clairo will now pack away her wine glasses and travel across to Paris and then Utrecht before finishing off her European tour in the UK, visiting Manchester, London and Glasgow.
