Elaine Mai will be kicking off Mother’s second week in their new home of Lost Lane with amazing electronic beats. The electronic music producer is a powerhouse of talent and will be charging the space with her unique sound.
Speaking about her upcoming performance, Elaine said, “I’ve been going to Mother since it started and it’s exciting to see them make the move to Lost Lane. Wherever the Mother crew go, they always bring the party and that electric atmosphere. I can’t wait for my show in Mother’s new home and I’m looking forward to playing some of my new material.”
As seen by her new EP titled Heartbeat, Elaine is embracing a more personal and powerful sound which reflects upon love. She said, “I wrote ‘Heartbeat’ for my wife Roisín after we got married in the summer of 2018. It was three years after Ireland voted to legalise same-sex marriage and it felt amazing to celebrate with our friends and family after canvassing for a yes vote together.”
Elaine further stated, “One of my friends recorded our wedding video so I was able to take some of the ambient noise from our wedding day and layer it into the track. I wanted to write a song that captured how I feel about her and to remember that time in our lives.”
Mother continues to pack their new home with immense talent and joy as they celebrate all things queer. Lost Lane has presented a fresh new direction for the nightclub and the opportunities are endless.

Before Elaine takes to the stage, the Mother DJs will be spinning their tunes to keep the crowd entertained as always. The DJs highlighted the benefit of the new venue, saying, “Having access to a full stage setup now gives us the ability to add some of our favourite live acts to our club shows too. As we head towards our 10th year together, we can’t wait to share a fresh new Mother experience with the whole LGBTQIA+ community.”
The new Mother experience continues to be an invigorating time as the newest sounds from across the country bring their different creative flares to the stage. Having the opportunity to see Elaine Mai perform is truly an unmissable time and cheaplist can be found at the Facebook event page.
