Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine and Charli xcx have been announced among the cast of a new queer feminist fairytale, 100 Nights Of Hero. Directed by Julia Jackman, the film is an adaptation of Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel of the same name.

100 Nights Of Hero is inspired by the framework of Arabian Nights folktales, transporting viewers to a magical fantasy realm called Early Earth. It follows Cherry, played by Maika Monroe of Longlegs fame, who lives with her neglectful husband Jerome (whose casting is yet to be revealed).

Galitzine, known mostly in the queer community for his role in Red, White & Royal Blue, plays Jerome’s old friend Manfred, who comes to stay with the couple in their remote castle. The two men make a bet over whether or not Manfred can seduce Cherry within 100 days, not knowing that the woman is actually in love with her maid Hero, played by Emmy-nominated non-binary actor Corrin. Together, Cherry and Hero hatch a plan to keep Manfred away, using storytelling as a means to distract him from his bet.

At this point, it remains unclear what Charli xcx’s role will be in the film. The Brat singer appears to be dipping her toes into Hollywood, also cast in a horror remake of Faces of Death, Gregg Araki’s next movie and a mystery project she co-wrote with Jeremy O Harris.

Fans have already been reacting to the news, with one writing: “lesbian leading characters and nicholas galitzine in his villain era in 100 nights of hero adaptation…we are astronomically back.”

Meanwhile, another person called it “a wonderful cast”, and someone else shared: “‘100 NIGHTS OF HERO’ starring Nicholas Galitzine just received a 55 minute standing ovation from me in my bedroom despite not being released yet”.

It is unknown when this film will be available to audiences, as production details have not been disclosed.
