A homoerotic novel starring US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has shot to No 1 in Amazon’s gay and humorous erotica charts.

Trump is soundly lampooned in the hastily-written 50 Shades of Grey-type novel, Trump Temptation: The Billionaire & The Bellboy.

Author Elijah Daniel posted his intention to pen an erotic novel about Trump to his 95,000 Twitter followers on January 21.

“I’m going to get drunk tonight and write an entire Donald Trump sex novel like 50 Shades of Grey & put it on amazon tomorrow I swear to god” [sic] read the 22-year-old comedian’s Tweet. In less than a week the 10-page novel was completed and uploaded to Amazon, where it has become a surprise hit.

“He was a billionaire, I was a bellboy, can I make it anymore obvious?” Daniel writes in the blurb. “It all started one fateful afternoon in summer of 2012. I was working as a bellboy at the Trump Hotel in Hong Kong on an internship program. This was my first time in a big city. It was all I could have ever dreamed of, and more. But little did I know, it was all about to change.”

Further excerpts are less subtle: “My loins trembled as the scent of toupee adhesive and spray tan swept through my nasal cavity,” the titular bellboy recounts. “It was him. It was Donald! He stood there in front of me, like a tall stallion. With his oily orange skin glistening in the sunlight as if he were a soggy cheeto [sic], his hair unkept and messy, like a gorgeous rat’s nest. He was beautiful.”

The Telegraph reports that the novel has so far received unanimous five-star reviews from 181 Amazon customers.
