Here’s your official warning, brain boxes – bury those noses in your queer bibles and organise grinds in all things gay, because GCN’s annual My Big Fat Gay Pub Quiz – Here We Go Again is headed your way!

Taking over Street 66 on September 27, GCN’s resident know-it-alls will grill teams of four on queer questions and fairy facts in an effort to discover who is the brightest group in all of Oz.

Remember, this is a quiz with a twist – while most winning teams usually consist of ‘The General Knowledge One’, ‘The Entertainment One’, ‘The Irish History One’ and the much rarer but most important ‘The Sport One’, all this event’s teams will need is ‘The Gay Facts One’, ‘The Obsessive Gay Facts One’, ‘The Weird Gay Facts One’ and another ‘Gay Facts One’.

With categories covering music, film, pop culture and queer history, the luckiest (most intelligent) team will leave a little lighter in the loafers but laden down with four-weekend tickets to the incredible Metropolis festival! Featuring Irish queer faves Roisin Murphy and Villagers, this is one table quiz you really want to win.

And that’s not all, there’ll be a veritable trove of treasures for the runners-up along with raffle prizes shiny enough to make your jaw drop.

It’s not just about prizes though – you could go home carrying the title of The Biggest Smarty-Pants In LGBT+ Land! That should definitely get you a few drinks at the bar. And even if you’re not the sharpest tool in the box, you might just pull yourself a Clever Dick.
