Digital Marketer

GCN is looking to recruit a smart, friendly, dynamic Digital Marketer to work alongside our small but ambitious team, supporting and coordinating various initiatives and projects.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and collaborate with the team, community groups, readers, brands, and other stakeholders to assist in delivering a vital community resource with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.

This position will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, update and implement GCN’s ongoing strategy, and workflows for all digital areas (website, social media channels, marketing, and content).
  • Manage and execute campaigns across various digital channels, including email, social media platforms, search engines, and display advertising, to ensure the effective promotion of GCN’s content, initiatives, and events.
  • Manage GCN’s social media channels, moderating comments and ensuring that comments/direct messages are responded to promptly.
  • Review and optimise social media channels to identify new opportunities and improve content performance.
  • Drive GCN’s magazine subscription strategy through marketing.
  • Post/schedule GCN’s content across all platforms to ensure its effective delivery.
  • GCN’s website management. This includes SEO strategy, UX optimisation, monetisation, testing and implementing fixes and new features and liaising with the team, developers and web services.
  • Assist in monitoring web ads, and ensuring ads served on www.gcn.ie meet targets and follow GCN’s guidelines.
  • Organise and facilitate live streams and live event coverage across GCN’s channels.
  • Measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, web traffic and initiatives against set goals (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the online editorial team to produce engaging content, campaigns and initiatives.

A graduate or post-grad qualification in Marketing, Media, Communications or a related field is preferred; however, no experience is needed as training will be provided.

Administrative Assistant

GCN is looking to recruit a part-time Administrative Assistant to work alongside our small but ambitious team, supporting and coordinating various initiatives and projects.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and collaborate with the team, community groups, readers, brands, and other stakeholders to assist in delivering a vital community resource with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.

This position will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the distribution of the GCN magazine. Tasks include: updating distribution lists, liaising with distributors and delivering copies of the magazine.
  • Managing the subscriptions to GCN magazine. Tasks include: managing the inbox, dealing with subscribers’ queries and sending new issues of the magazine to new subscribers.
  • Assisting with operational aspects of GCN’s merchandise and online store, including order fulfilment, liaising with suppliers and online customer service.
  • Assisting in compiling reports for GCN and The National LGBT Federation.
  • Assisting with a variety of office administration tasks, such as placing stationary orders etc.
  • Ensuring community listings are updated with the most up-to-date and correct information.
  • Assisting in monitoring web ads served, liaising with the online team to ensure ads served on www.gcn.ie follow GCN’s guidelines.
  • Assisting with live streams and live events.

No experience is needed, as training will be provided.
