In this month’s issue, we’re celebrating Ireland’s people power: firstly, the activists and allies who campaigned tirelessly for the Gender Recognition Bill are front and centre, and we speak to some of them about what the passing of the act means for them. Elsewhere, we have an array of guest columnists, from comedy hero Gearoid Farrelly to theatre maker Sonya Kelly. And given the season that’s in it, we speak to Justin Vivian Bond, Wayne Jordan and Philly McMahon, all of whom are set to showcase their work at the Dublin Fringe Festival and Dublin Theatre festival.
GCN is a free, vital resource for Ireland’s LGBTQ+ community since 1988.
GCN is a trading name of National LGBT Federation CLG, a registered charity - Charity Number: 20034580.
GCN relies on the generous support of the community and allies to sustain the crucial work that we do. Producing GCN is costly, and, in an industry which has been hugely impacted by rising costs, we need your support to help sustain and grow this vital resource.
