The RuPaul queens and the Avengers better watch out. Hot on the announcement of World Of Wonder’s upcoming animated series ‘Drag Tots’ and a whole summer of superhero movies ahead, Netflix is cat-walking to the front with their very own high camp, high drag, animated show – ‘Super Drags’.

With the current season of Drag Race coming to an end soon, the recently released teaser for ‘Super Drags’ may not reveal much, but it certainly whets the appetite of an audience who might be hungry for their next drag fix. Hailing from Brazil, the animated superheroes aim to take over living rooms, if not the world.

So what’s it all about? The creators of the show released the following synopsis – “During the day, they work in a department store and deal with their uptight bitchy boss. By night, they tighten up their corsets and transform into the baddest Super Drags in town, ready to combat shade and rescue the world’s glitter from the evil villains. Get ready, because the Super Drags are going deeper than you think.”

A teaser indeed. Netflix themselves don’t go much deeper with their description, tweeting “They’re here, they’re queer, and they’re going to save the world.” OK, Netflix, we trust you!

It seems like there’s a sudden rush in animated drag shows. As we mentioned, fan favourite Drag Race queens will lend their voices to the upcoming cartoon series, “Drag Tots“. No less than Bianca Del Rio, Adore Delano, Latrice Royale, Detox and Valentina  are coming to save the world from the brink of chaos with their glitter powers

With such similar seeming shows competing for the same audience, will we have room in our hearts for two shows about animated drag queens? It looks like the real clash of the superheroes is going to happen on the small screen this summer!
