The Golden Globe Awards nominations were released this week and there is some great LGBT representation.

Luckily for us all, there have been some stellar performances in films and television portraying LGBT life, including Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game and Netflix favourite Orange is the New Black.

While The Imitation Game received five nominations, Orange is the New Black received three. However, they are certainly not the only hits of the year; The Normal Heart and The Good Wife have been nominated for three awards, with Transparent receiving two nominations.

There have been a few grumbles, however, about the obvious lack of Tatiana Maslany for her numerous roles in Orphan Black.
