Everyone’s favourite gay hookup app Grindr has released the results of a voting poll in which Hillary Clinton was voted ‘Straight Ally of the Year’ by users.

The former Secretary of State – and First Lady – topped the poll, as voted for by users in the US, Australia and the UK. She is also expected to run as a Presidential candidate for the 2016 US Presidential elections; if this poll is any indication at least we know she has the pink vote!

On the other end of the spectrum is the most homoerotically-charged homophobe, Vladimir Putin, who was voted ‘Enemy of the LGBT Community’ for obvious reasons.

Unsurprisingly, Neil Patrick Harris was voted as ‘Gay Icon of the Year’, and Sam Smith had the best coming out story, even if he has previously claimed that apps such as Tinder and Grindr are ruining romance.

There were also predictions for 2015 with Ryan Seacrest voted most likely to come out next, and Hillary Clinton to announce her presidential candidacy.
