You will also be part of the Web Content team, creating blog posts, articles, infographics, listicles, and other content for gcn.ie to help GCN grow and engage with our audience. You will be part of an exciting editorial team, enhancing GCN’s presence in both print and online.

There are tons of reasons to join the GCN team. Here are a select few:

Community: GCN is Ireland’s longest running LGBT+ publication, and gcn.ie is our ever-growing online presence which provides up-to-the-minute LGBT+ content. Working with GCN you’ll get to make a difference to tens of thousands of LGBT+ people in Ireland.

Experience: You’ll gain hands-on experience in content creation, copywriting, journalism, social media management, SEO and WordPress with the scope to introduce new initiatives.

Networking: Regular contact with media reps and PR agencies will give you valuable media connections in Ireland.

30 Years And Beyond…

GCN has been entirely overhauled with a brand new, sophisticated design for the magazine that launched in June 2017 last year alongside a redesigned website that took over from our sister site, The Outmost, and a brand new app.

GCN.ie has won Digital Product of the Year in the Irish Magazine Awards 2017, an award which recognises the slick new site that houses our content, the digital magazine, directory and more.

The successful applicant will be joining GCN as we celebrate our 3oth year in publication, so you can be sure there are some incredible events and exciting projects coming up soon!

Support GCN

GCN has been a vital, free-of-charge information service for Ireland’s LGBTQ+ community since 1988.

During this global COVID pandemic, we like many other organisations have been impacted greatly in the way we can do business and produce. This means a temporary pause to our print publication and live events and so now more than ever we need your help to continue providing this community resource digitally.

GCN is a registered charity with a not-for-profit business model and we need your support. If you value having an independent LGBTQ+ media in Ireland, you can help from as little as €1.99 per month. Support Ireland’s free, independent LGBTQ+ media.
