One of the new candidates to enter Lord Alan Sugar’s boardroom on BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ is Dublin gay man, Dillon St Paul, and he’s bringing his own brand of power to the process.
37 year-old Dillon will be in competition with 17 other candidates on the 11th season The Apprentice.
According to the show’s website, Dillon is currently a freelance Art Director with a fashion magazine, and describes himself as “talented, kind and very funny”.
Obviously not shy about being out and proud, Dillon’s key quote is: “Sometimes batting the eyelashes can get you a lot in business. Hence, the mascara comes in handy – so they can see those lashes.”
He says he believes he can charm people, and that he can charm and manipulate situations to get results. But he’s not shy of confrontation either.
“I am famous for the truth bomb,” he says. “I’m all about saying it like it is. I don’t mess around with it, I don’t get too emotional.”
According to Dillon, all his friends are girls and this is an advantage he’ll be bringing to the show. “My life is girl-centric,” he says, “so, yeah, girl power!”
‘The Apprentice’ begins on October 6 at 9pm on BBC One
