Irish LGBT+ Gaymers Wanted For Dublin-Based Game Development Company

Dreamfeel are creating a narrative driven game set in rural Irish communities, they are looking for those who identify as lgbtqia+ or queer, to partake in an interview process to help them make a game that speaks honestly to what queer experience in Ireland is like.

Irish Gaming Company DreamFeel

Dreamfeel is a small weirdo Irish game development company which is working on a game called If Found. If Found is a narrative driven game with experimental gameplay elements that tells the story of Kasio, an astronaut and drifter, who is returning home on the brink of the world’s end for what may be her last winter on the fictional island of Inch, off the west coast of Ireland. Dreamfeel are a small team of four folks at the moment, Claire (writer), Llaura (director), Liadh (illustrator) and Aidan (producer), so in order to make If Found as good as they possibly can, they want to invite folks to partake in their research process.

They’re seeking members of rural Irish communities, especially those who identify as lgbtqia+ or queer, to partake in an interview process. This callout extends not only to folks who are currently living in rural Irish communities but also to those who grew up among them and have since moved elsewhere. The interviews will be audio-recorded but entirely confidential, and what’s spoken about is intended to be used only as research to help them make a game that speaks honestly to what queer experience in Ireland is like. There will be a small honorarium given for your time, and interviewees will be asked to sign a consent form and non-disclosure agreement.

Wicked Dublin MPU

Interviews will be a casual one-on-one chat, however, they would also love to hear two or three people discuss their experiences with each other if possible. If you have a friend who’s interested, bring them along for the conversation. To apply, you may either fill out their google-form or email them at [email protected] with a short little introduction (of a few sentences, no longer than a paragraph).

They will be sure to get back to you soon. We can also forward on more information about the process, and if you have any questions at all, don’t be afraid to ask. If you know anyone who might be suitable, please be sure to share this with them. Interviews can take place over Skype, or if you are in Dublin, they would love to have you to our studio on South Circular Road. Let them know what’s best for you.
