Jodie Foster has signed on to direct an upcoming thriller called ‘Money Monster’ which is set to star George Clooney.
Money Monster will follow the story of a game show host (Clooney) who gets taken hostage live on-air and forced to revealed high-stakes secrets about the show to save his life.
The film is expected to start filming in early 2015 and will be the former child star’s first time directing Clooney.
Jodie Foster made her acting debut at three years old before starting her directing career in the late 1980s. She has already directed three feature films including The Beaver which starred her good friend Mel Gibson as well as Jennifer Lawrence. In 2013, she also landed herself an Emmy nomination for her direction on an episode of Netflix original Orange is the New Black.
Foster, 51, came out as a lesbian in 2013 when she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Globes.
Earlier this year, Foster married The L Word actress and photographer Alexandra Hedison.
