The 51-year-old Oscar winner and the 44-year-old actress and photographer have been in a relationship for the past year. Jodie Foster’s publicist confirmed that the pair got hitched in a ceremony last weekend.

Foster has never been married, but has two children with former partner of two decades, Cydney Bernard. The couple split in 2008, but remain close friends.

The Elysium star thanked Bernard in her now famous “coming out speech” that she made at the Golden Globes 2013 while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Foster’s new wife, Alexandra Hedison, is based in Los Angeles and is known for her stint as ‘Dylan’ on lesbian drama, The L Word.

Hedison was previously romantically linked to Ellen Degeneres. The pair dated for three years.
