Kristen Stewart Opens Up About Her Sexuality: "Google Me, I'm Not Hiding"

In an in-depth interview with Nylon magazine, Kristen Stewart has addressed her sexuality for the first time, saying that she’s “not hiding”.

The former Twilight star’s personal life has been strewn across red-tops and gossip blogs since her relationship with Robert Pattinson dissolved following her affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.

For the past year or so, however, the 25 year-old has been in a relationship with visual effects producer, Alicia Cargile. Tabloids insisted on calling the pair “gal pals” at every opportunity, until Stewart’s mother allegedly confirmed the romance. The Mirror quoted Jules Stewart as saying, “I’ve met Kristen’s new girlfriend, I like her. What’s not to accept? She’s a lovely girl.”

When asked about her sexuality, the notoriously private actress said,  “Google me, I’m not hiding.”

She added that she has no time for labels and considers herself sexually fluid.  “If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it. But I am an actress, man. I live in the fucking ambiguity of this life and I love it. I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’

“No, I do a job. Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving…I don’t. I’m just a kid making movies.”

She also predicted that pretty soon, people won’t have to define their sexuality.

“I think in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.”

Kristen Stewart is currently promoting her new film American Ultra, co-starring Jesse Eisenberg. Read the full interview over at Nylon.com.
