The singer, who revealed he was gay in 2006, told talk show host Larry King that the special will air around Valentines Day. “It’s going to be taped, not live. I’m producing, so I’m going to film it, and it will show the lead up to it”, the 35 year-old said, adding “With two guys it’s really hard to plan a wedding…we have no idea what we’re doing”.

Speaking about his fiancé, who is an artist, Bass said, “We met at a birthday party in Palm Springs, and what’s great about this relationship was we started out as best friends, a month later it grew into something a lot bigger”.

The former boyband star told King that the couple would like to have children in their future together, “We’re definitely family people. I would love to adopt, I want to have my own also”.

Bass is in Atlanta today to host the event #ToastToMarriage, a partnership effort between Freedom to Marry and SKY Vodka to set the world record for largest arms-linked toast ever, and to call attention to the marriage equality fight.

#ToastToMarriage tour is set to visit 11 cities through the US raising awareness and encouraging supporters in each state to publicly show their belief in marriage equality by raising a toast.

Last year, Bass spoke out in an interview about other closeted celebrities, saying he knew of “tons” but that he “has and would lie not to out them”.
