Police in the US are investigating the murder of a young lesbian couple, who were found dead next to a dumpster in Port Bolivar, Texas.

The bodies of Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, both 24 years-old, were found near a convenience store dumpster by a delivery driver last Friday morning. The pair had been reported missing since Wednesday.

In a statement, local police said that women were killed in different ways, and that it is possible that the women may have been murdered in a different location only to be dumped by the convenience store at a later time.

McDade Cosby, Britney’s sister, pleaded for any information on Houston news station KHOU. She said, “Just come forward, just to give us closure as a family, we need closure at this point.”

Crystal Jackson’s sister Lequetia Jackson said, “What did they do to you to kill my sister? You beat her up to the point that she can’t breathe no more.”

The couple’s car, a silver 2006 Kia Sorento SUV, has still not been located and is believed to have been stolen in the incident.

Police have provided a sketch of the only potential suspect in the case. So far, no arrests have been made.
