The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
After its amazing success, Taylor Jenkins’ bestseller is set to arrive on our screen. As far as it is known, Netflix has now acquired the rights to produce the film about the life of Hollywood star Evelyn Hugo and how she reveals her darkest secrets to the journalist Monique Grant.

Everything is still unrevealed and under production. However, some good news is that Jenkins will be executing the production and the adaptation of the film, so hopefully, the true essence of the novel will remain intact.

Mickey 17
Although the plot might not be strictly queer, this sci-fi film based on the novel by Edward Ashton could include a gay scene from the book.

The film stars Robert Pattison, known for his roles in Twilight, as Mickey Barnes, an employee who has been sent on a human expedition to colonise an ice world called Niflheim.

However, this mission is characterised by extraordinary circumstances: every time Mickey dies, a new body is regenerated. Things get complicated when his bodies start to make multiple copies of itself.

The trailer gives a quick glimpse of a possible representation of the remarkable scene from the book, although details are left to the imagination.

If you want to find out, you still have to wait until the film’s global release on April 18, 2025.

The project was already announced in 2023, but it is not until now that it seems likely to be released. Good things take time, they say.
