It’s a good time to be a Sia fan – the increasingly popular singer/songwriter has teased a brand new song from her highly anticipated new album, 1,000 Forms of Fear, due for release on July 8.
Eye Of The Needle was produced by Greg Kurstin and is a dramatic piano ballad with soaring vocals and anguished lyrics, reminiscent of Sia’s work on her 2008 record, Some People Have Real Problems.
This is the second track to be heard from the long-awaited album, with the lead single Chandelier already racking up 20 million views on YouTube since its release in May. The video for the song, featuring an extraordinary performance from the 11 year-old dancer/actress Maddie Ziegler, has now been released as an uncut, one-take version on The Guardian website.
