Ahead of the release of ‘I Am Michael’, James Franco shares a photo of his lip lock with co-star Zachary Quinto.

James Franco is doing a great job at creating buzz around the release of I Am Michael, the biopic of gay activist turned “straight” Christian pastor, Michael Glatze.

Premiering at Sundance Film Festival this weekend, the film stars Franco in the titular role, alongside Zachary Quinto and Charlie Carver. The three of whom engage in a steamy three way (pictured) before Franco gives up the gay to be with Rebekah Fuller (Emma Roberts).

While the film is slated to be a contender for next year’s awards season, all most people can talk about is the gay threesome. Not much is known about the scene, except that Franco’s character meets Carver’s character in a club in the 80s. When Carver asks Franco “do you have a boyfriend?” Franco responds, “He’d like you too.”

And then this happens…

The general release date for I Am Michael is yet to be announced.
