Lush Handmade Cosmetic stores are donating 100% of the proceeds from their Charity Pot this weekend to Gay Switchboard Ireland.

Volunteers from Gay Switchboard, Ireland’s longest running LGBT phone support service, will be on hand in the Lush shops (Henry Street and Grafton Street) and Cork will be chatting to customers about the organisation and how buying the pot will help to support LGBT people right across the country.

According to Adam Shanley, Director of Gay Switchboard, “We’re absolutely delighted Lush chose to support us over this hugely busy weekend. As an organisation that is entirely ran on the generosity of the community and its allies, an opportunity like this will make a huge difference. We hope lots of people in Dublin and Cork drop by and pick up a Pot for Switchboard.”

Now in its 42nd year, Gay Switchboard Ireland is the country’s longest running LGBT support organisation. It offers confidential listening and signposting for the LGBT community, their friends and family. In addition it has recently launched an online chat and email support service and has a long-standing peer support groups.

The organisation aims to diversify its offering even further with a lot planned for 2016. Funds raised this weekend will be key in bringing these plans to life. Find out more about Gay Switchboard here.
