Reid Ewing didn’t come out because he ‘was never in’

A couple of days ago, Reid, who plays Dylan in Modern Family, revealed he suffers from body dysmorphic disorder.

The 27-year-old detailed his addiction to cosmetic surgery on The Huffington Post on Thursday. He claimed he became obsessed with plastic surgery when he arrived in Hollywood in 2008. The actor endured botched operations and was addicted to prescription painkillers.

‘I genuinely believed if I had one procedure I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt,’ he wrote on the HuffPo blog.

On Saturday, he tweeted he thought a young man featured in a GMA news story about the condition was ‘hot af.’

When a fan responded by asking via Twitter if he’d just ‘outed himself,’ the actor tweeted back: ‘I was never in.’
