Following a jaw-dropping Pride Block Party this year, the Mother team is nowhere near done bringing the best of queer partying to our summer. Their next stop is none other than Electric Picnic, where Mother will return for a late-night celebration of queer joy, radical self-expression, and dancefloor liberation in the woods.

After announcing the self-proclaimed Midwest Princess Chappell Roan as one of the headliners at this year’s festival, Electric Picnic was already gearing up to be one of the queerest events of the season. Bringing her high-energy, flamboyant Pink Pony Club to the Stradbally Estate in Co Laois this August, the pop singer will be joined by the likes of Hozier, Sam Fender, Fatboy Slim, and Kings of Leon.

Now, Electric Picnic is bringing even more joy to queer revellers, as Mother announced they will be returning to the festival with their legendary After Dark party. From 11pm to 4am, Friday through Sunday, the Mother stage will feature DJs, drag, dancers, kink, and pure queer energy for a sensational night beneath the trees.

This year’s lineup features the talented Mother DJs Rocky T. Delgado, Ruth Kavanagh, and Ghostboy, who will be joined behind the decks across the weekend by special guests Kelly-Anne Byrne and Glamo.

As they keep the crowd pulsing with energy, a cast of drag and performance artists will take to the stage. Expect performances from Abrakedavre, Annie Queeries, APHRA, Avatar Guille, BetteDavidEyes, Blaq Coffee, Blue Flame, Bonnie Boux, Chanel, Cornflake Girl, Crimson leCreme, Donna Fella, Elle LeGent, Haus of WIG, Kora Elle, Liam Bee, Naomi Diamond, Nokia, Pixie Woo, Saint Marco, Scarlett Van Tassel, Shaqira Knightly, Terri Fierce, Vicky Volltz, and Viola Gayvis.

For those who managed to snag a ticket to one of Ireland’s most anticipated music festivals, Mother After Dark will provide an unashamedly queer space to let loose and dance ’til morning. Make sure to pop by and enjoy some of Ireland’s most exciting queer talent!
