As Pride season is swiftly approaching, Dubliners are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the legendary Mother Pride Block Party, with this year’s festival promising to be the “biggest and most exciting Pride show yet”. However, for those who simply cannot wait for the party to start, Mother has announced that their Daytime Dance Party will make its triumphant return at The George on Sunday, May 26. So let’s get this party started early, folks!
Sponsored by Absolut, the Mother Daytime Dance Party will kick off at The George, one of Dublin’s most iconic LGBTQ+ venues. Running from 2pm to 7pm, the event is the perfect way to celebrate the upcoming Pride season without ruining your sleep schedule.
The party will feature acclaimed Mother DJs Ghostboy and Rocky T Delgado as they bring the traditional Mother dance floor to the daylight hours. Performing alongside the DJs will be artists like Glamo, Billy Bunzari, Conor Behan, and a bevvy of drag artists such as Shaquira Knightly, Anziety, Viola Gayvis, and Avatar Guille.
Mother Dancers Tanya Doyle, Jose Galang, Paul Shego, and Peter Toohey will similarly be in attendance to dance the day away with Dublin’s LGBTQ+ revellers.

But the good news certainly doesn’t end there, as Mother announced that it will be taking its Daytime Dance Party on the road this summer, with tour dates and locations to be announced soon.
Ahead of the upcoming event, Darragh Flynn, General Manager of the George, said: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Mother for this daytime dance party. It will be epic and a fantastic way to start the summer.”
