Neuro Pride Ireland is inviting everyone to celebrate Neuro Joy Day, a special event happening on September 28 at Dublin’s The Complex, a fully accessible venue. This fun-filled day is open to all and highlights the incredible talent within Ireland’s neurodivergent community.
The day kicks off with a free panel and networking session titled ‘What’s My Job?’ hosted in collaboration with the National Talent Academies. This event is perfect for those working in or wanting to break into the film and screen industry. Neurodivergent creatives and filmmakers will share their journeys, challenges, and insights in an engaging discussion.
This free panel is open to anyone interested, and registration is available on the National Talent Academies website.
At 2pm, the creative fun continues with Drag & Draw, a unique life drawing class open to all ages. Drag & Draw, fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, combines art and entertainment with drag performers as models. No artistic experience is required, making it a fun and relaxed event for everyone.
Tickets for Drag & Draw are €15 and are available here. Support people who do not wish to participate but are attending with someone can join the guest list for free by emailing Neuro Pride Ireland. Space is limited to 35 spots, so early booking is recommended.
In the evening, the event shifts to cater for an 18+ audience. At 6pm, a stellar lineup of comedians will take the stage, led by MC Ian Lynam, host of Spoons. Joining him are Felix O’Connor, who is fresh from Dublin Fringe Festival, alongside Stephen Robert-Walters from Divergent and Dragons, MJ Stokes, co-founder of Hysteria Ireland, and Wexford Pride’s Vic Kelly-Victor.
The night ends with the Disgraceful Cabaret, a neurodivergent and queer-run drag and burlesque show. Hosted by Poppy De Scrace, it features performers like Viktor Complex, Moss, and Mx Teaze. Tickets to both events are available here.
