Lady Gaga’s collaborative jazz collection with Tony Bennett is finally coming after two years of teasing fans with release dates that never materialised.
Cheek to Cheek, which was originally teased in September 2012 when Bennett gave an interview to Rolling Stone, came about after Gaga decided she wanted to make a jazz record.
The eccentric singer had recorded a cover of ‘The Lady Is A Tramp’ for Bennett’s Duets II album in 2011, and was apparently so nervous she drank whiskey throughout the recording session.
Today, the full track list, along some rather arresting artwork by Steven Klein, has been revealed.
Speaking of the striking sleeve, Gaga told fans on Twitter, “We were just standing there talking, laughing, singing. Then someone very special snapped a memory. The light like a painting”.
In anticipation of the album release, the pair have unveiled the second single from the set, ‘I Can’t Give You Anything But Love’, which you can hear below. Cheek to Cheek is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
