Ireland’s newest Music & Arts festival Beyond The Pale will kick off the summer season with a bang next week in the gorgeous surrounds of Glendalough Estate in Wicklow. They have just shared the details of their day-to-day breakdown and there is something in there for everyone.

The folks behind Beyond The Pale explains: “Our boutique festival is all about the careful curation of music, art & food in a beautifully intimate location fit for 5,000 people.  After 2 years of isolation and disconnection we want to surround ourselves with friends and strangers with one unifying purpose: to bathe in nature and soak up the incredible entertainment on show.”

Headliners across the weekend include Orbital, James Vincent McMorrow, Lisa Hannigan, Bonobo, and Four Tet to name but a few. The lineup is very bountiful indeed across live music, DJs, Arts, and performance with a dizzying list of acts and even a food programme called Beyond the Plate.

We spotted some queer faves in the mix across the weekend including the fabulous Mother DJs who’ll be playing late into the night on Friday, Elaine Mai will bring her stunning live show to Glendalough Estate and we here in the towers are pretty excited to see the brilliant HAAi on the line-up on Sunday.

The Beyond the Pale arts programme “is an invitation to connect and play; to soak it all up, laugh your socks off….and even lose the run of yourself altogether, in one of the most magical places in Ireland.”

Queer Highlights include Niall Sweeney with his Titans of Chlorologia and Una Mullally and Conner Habid, who will present their project Utopia Ireland: Beyond the Pale Edition.
