Meet The Eurovision Hopefuls

latelate

Tonight drag queen extraordinaire Panti Bliss will judge Ireland’s Eurovision hopefuls in a bid to find this year’s entry.

Appearing on The Late Late Show tonight, Panti – along with Linda Martin – will sit on a panel to judge the country’s would-be contenders.

Listen to the entries below:

Alex Saint – She’s So Fine

Alex Saint, born in Zambia and currently living in Belfast, will perform She’s So Fine, with backing vocals from The MJs.

Kat Mahon – Anybody Got A Shoulder

Kat Mahon has previously competed on the Rose of Tralee in 2014 and has supported the Delorentos. She is singing a song written by Charlie McGettigan.

Nikki Kavanagh – Memories

Having lost out to Jedward in 2011, it’s respectable that Nikki has returned. She was also part of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. The song is written by Dimitri Stassos, who is definitely not a stranger to the Eurovision.

Erika Selin – Break Me Up

People are pissed because this song and artist are from Sweden, with absolutely no connection to Ireland. Sure, what would it matter as long as she won?

Molly Sterling – Playing With Numbers

This Tipperary girl is just 16 years-old, along with performing this song, she co-wrote it with Greg French. Suddenly I feel awfully inadequate.
