Obama Congratulates Abby Wambach and US Soccer Team On Huge Win

This past Sunday, the United States Women’s Soccer team defeated Japan, taking home the World Cup.

President Obama took the time to congratulate the whole team, including lesbian star player Abby Wambach in taking home coveted prize. Not only that, but the match also made history by beating out the men’s team in the ratings, and for Abby Wambach’s touching celebratory kiss with her wife moments after the whistle was blown.

The team will also be getting a ticker-tape parade to celebrate their victory and honour their efforts, which will take place in Manhattan, New York tomorrow afternoon.
