Panti has responded to claims made by John Waters who was speaking to an alt-right youtuber when he said that 'he knows who really wrote' Panti's memoir.

Next up in Panti’s burn book is former Irish journalist John Waters. A video has been recently unearthed in which Waters claims that Panti aka Rory O’Neil did not write their own book and had a ghostwriter.

In the video which was live streamed on YouTube and hosted by a right-wing YouTuber, Waters was talking about an incident in which he claims that Panti said she was wrong but then wrote about it in her memoir. He says:

“He still wrote a book about it three months later in which he repeated the whole thing. Which tells me what, that he didn’t even write the book. Somebody else wrote the book and I know who.

“Anyway, that’s another story, we know who but let’s not say because we don’t want to give people something to talk about.”

In response to this, Panti took to Twitter to respond to these claims saying that they “wrote every bloody word”:

“Ooh he’s such a sniveling little prick. Here’s a clip of John Waters first claiming that I “subsequently admitted” I was wrong about him (I did in me hoop!) and then WORSE! Claiming I didn’t write my own book and that he knows who did! Ha! What a twerp! I wrote every bloody word”

Speaking about working with her editor, Panti said:

“As the tortured editor of the book in question , you’ll be very surprised indeed to find out it wasn’t in fact me who had you trearing your hair out waiting for chapters in the wee hours as the deadline approached.”

Panti also asked for clarification on Waters as to who he thinks wrote the book to which they are still waiting on a response:

“Still waiting for Grade 1 Listed Persecution Complex John Waters to tell us who wrote my book that I absolutely wrote…”

Waters has yet to respond.
