Police in London are investigating an incident in which a man was left with a broken eye-socket among other injuries after being attacked by two men.
40 year-old Jean-Michel Touche was attacked in the early evening yesterday at approximately 5.30PM in the Barnes Common area. The victim says that two males assaulted him, shouted homophobic slurs, stole his iPhone 6 and fled the scene.
The man was left with a broken eye socket, which will require surgery. The attackers also broke his thumb and left him badly bruised.
This attack comes after shocking new figures were released that show a near 30% increase in homophobic attacks in the past year alone.
Any witnesses are urged to contact Crimestoppers UK with any information.
